Reston software product company is currently seeking a MYSQL DBA. They are a rapidly growing company that has had a reputation of success and growth.
This position is FULL-TIME and all candidates must be a US CITIZEN, Green-card, or EAD holder.
- No Corp-to-Corp arrangements.
What you will need:
Minimum of 5 years experience as a database administrator with at least 2 years experience with MySQL.
Experience with MySQL row based replication.
Minimum of 5 year's experience developing database components/objects including tables, indexes, foreign keys, stored procedures, and triggers.
Advanced level experience managing databases within CentOS.
Experience supporting and managing large, complex database environments where single databases easily exceed 1 terabyte.
What you will be doing:
Provide day to day support for general database related needs to DataRaker staff and clients.
Manage the backup and restore process for all databases in conjunction with the System Admin team.
Support core database processes used to build and maintain the DataRaker system. Support includes monitoring load times, long running processes, slow processes, and low level database/os resource issues.
Support the development team with database related tasks and query/process optimizations.
Work with development and systems team to support Hadoop/HBase cluster.
Manage the client specific databases and work with services team to ensure all client specific database problems are resolved quickly.
